This is one of my favourite game reserves. If you are travelling with another couple, always book The Homestead to get your own pool and living areas. You still have all meals in the main dining room. 

You get two 3hr game drives a day..at 6am and 4pm.

We love the varied routes and environments and enjoyed many great sightings of animals and birds, including four of the Big Five.

We are travelling with Bob and Jane.

This is Jane's first trip to South Africa but Bob is enjoying a nostalgic return trip after having worked here as a young engineer in the early 80s. We did a detour via Secunda, Trichardt and Kinross before our overnight stop at De Loft Guesthouse in Mkhondo.

The roadworks, traffic and abnormal loads in this area add hours to your journey, so allow extra time.
