We were happy our departure to Amer Fort, Jaipur was after breakfast today.
It was busy, eventhough we did arrive quite early. Things are very much more busy in Rajastan than when we were last here in 2019. It's wedding season in India and we loved seeing all the bridal photo shoots going on in the palace.
We got back to the train for lunch. Lots of the other guests arranged extra afternoon excursions but we enjoyed relaxing on the train.
In the evening we all went off to Rambagh Palace for a tour and a garden dinner. It's a beautiful hotel and well worth a visit.
Back on the train we enjoyed a great evening with rounds and rounds of ABFs and headed off to bed after 2am; which we knew we'd regret in the morning.
Wednesday 12 Febuary
Back in Delhi, we had to say goodbye to the Maharajas' Express. We're already trying to plan to do this again soon.
We checked into the Connaught Hotel and need to spend the day resting and catching up on lost sleep. Tomorrow our pick up is 5am!
