Amazing Family Safari in Botswana : August 2022 : Part 6 : Khama Rhino and Mohave Lodge

Sunday 28th August :Khama Rhino Sanctuary

The park was set up to protect Botswana's rhino population from poaching. We enjoyed good sightings of black and white rhino around the dam in the afternoon. I had warned everyone that the chalet accommodation is in great need of repair and a good spring clean but it was really so shoddy no-one had a great night. It's a pity but I'd only recommend Khama Rhino for camping.

Monday 29th August to Wednesday 31st August : Mohave Lodge in Tuli Wilderness

What a pleasure to be back at Mohave Lodge in Tuli Wilderness. This private camp is a hidden gem.
We enjoyed seeing the bat- eared foxes again and tracked down the lions but the highlight this time was a group of 5 male cheetah, hunting together.

Our guide hunted for leopard without any luck. Leonie has never seen a leopard in the wild. Something for next time.
