Planet Baobab : Day 11 : Saturday 27 August
Planet Baobab is one of our favourite lodges in Botswana. This time we did the sleepout on the Ntwetwe Pan. What an awesome experience. It's a 2 hour drive out to the edge of the pan where we visited a meerkat colony. They have been habituated to humans so it's possible to get quite close. This mother with her babies was really cute. 
You have an option to ride across the pans on 4 wheelers.
After a stop for sunset photos you arrive at the camp in the middle of the pan for a night under the stars.
Nothing interrupts the vast flatness all around you. After drinks and dinner around the campfire, it's bedtime. Your bedroll has proper white linen and a canvas cover with a hood to protect you from the wind.
What an awesome place to sleep! Awake for the sunrise.
Back to the lodge on the 4 wheelers for brunch.
