4 to 7 October
Roadtripping, our favourite way to travel, is about the journey and not just the destination. As in life!
We took 4 days to drive up to Vilancoulos and 4 days to drive back.
Friday 4th October
Driving South from Vilancoulos to Chidenguela; we arrived at laid back Zona Braza Beach Lodge in time for sunset drinks.
Saturday 5th October
We got to sleep in.. The weather had improved so we enjoyed the morning on the beach and chilling at the beach bar.
And another afternoon of rugby.
I really loved the vibe and the staff at this resort.
Sunday 6th October
We made an early start just in case...the Giriyondo border post closes at 4pm.
The hotel had packed us toasties for the road!
On the Kruger Park side of the border, we saw a lot of game; especially elephants.
Another overnight stop in Letaba.
Monday 7th October
A slow drive from Letaba to Satara and out at the Orpen gate. This is my favourite area in Kruger. We saw so much game.
And the predators...1 pride of lion, 1 leopard under a tree and 2 separate cheetah sightings! Nothing close enough for any good pics though.
A final braai and overnight at TFFC in Dullstroom again..till next time..
