After weeks of camping, we like to book into a hotel for a rest and a treat. (We had to park our caravans at the local tennis club for the night.) Hanlie found this amazing hotel filled with OTT Gaudi-esque African art and decor.
We were blown away- figuratively by the crazy style and emensity of the place and literally by a massive wind storm howling through Kloof Gorge.
Glass doors came off hinges and a window broke. We hunkered down in our room - large enough - to entertain Gavin, Susan and Eddie who had come up to visit the Maggs'.
Cheese platter, Woolies snacks, chicken and pasta salad and cheesecake. And lots of whisky and bubbly. We do things in style!
