When we arrived at our hotel Ryan from The Wine Experience was waiting to take us to Narbone Winery for a tasting with local cheese and charcuterie.
Wine tourism is quite a new concept in Uruguay. On Sunday we went to Bodega Garzon, no. 3 on the Wine Enthusiast's Best Wineries list for 2025.
Impressive architecture, wonderful views, good wine and a world class Francis Mallman restaurant.
Special varietals here include Tannat and Albarino.
