USA 2025 : LAS VEGAS

What happens in Vegas...is fabulous..

Our flight from Portland was over 3hrs delayed so we arrived in the early hours of the morning. Uber was easy.  Check in was quick. And we can definitely swing a cat or hold a party in  our room.

The Flamingo is the best hotel to stay in on the strip because of the central location. And it's old style.

The Aria, Wynn etc are posher for sure but they just look like Singapore shopping malls... and you'll be walking for ages every time you try and head out...

And this time of year is the best.. sunny and warm every day and mild at night. The only time you'll need a sweater is in air conditioned theaters.

Stephen and Vivienne brought their RV up to Vegas to party like the Greenies...We all had a good time.

One thing is for sure : Vegas is expensive, especially on the strip.

After tax and tip, our 2 morning lattes cost $22.75.

And 2 late night take-out burgers - no fries - cost $52.00.

Best you don't convert to ZAR!

There are a lot of really good restaurants in Vegas, so we start each day with a good lunch. 

Or a Drag Brunch if it's Sunday. 

Inbetween all the shows we see, there are plenty of bars and venues with live music. It's a 24hr party.

We don't gamble but Vivienne spent a whole dollar in a slot machine and cashed out at $4.50!! Last of the big spenders!
