Thursday 17 to Saturday 19 April
On Thursday we drove down to the farm to collect the caravan. There's been so much rain, the Vaal Dam is full and everying is beautifully green.
On Easter Friday we drove to Red Sands Campsite outside Kuruman. A very good overnight stop with private ablutions on each site.
En route we lunch-stopped at Barberspan hoping for a bit of bird watching but it was cold and windy. And everything is so green after all the rain.I have added a picture of the last time we stopped here to show how dry it usually is.
On Saturday we drove up to Molopo Lodge just past Askham. Another fabulous overnight choice. We propped up the bar all afternoon watching rugby.
Unseasonal rain gave us an excuse for a nap in the caravans before our braai.
