Another drive through the Alps back to Munich. It rained all the way.
We spent a great weekend with Christo and Christine.
It was wonderful to catch up with friends.
Springbok and URC Rugby on Saturday.

On Sunday afternoon we checked into the quirky Ruby Rosi Hotel near Hauptbahnhof because on Monday we started our epic train journey in Europe..First leg Munich to Venice. Everyone warned us about DB though. Could train travel in Germany have become that bad? It has...Sad to say, "German Efficiency" is now an oxymoron!
12 hours and 3 trains later we rolled into Venice at 11.30pm.Thanks to Trenitalia. Thanks to Menon who met us at the station and carried my bag and thanks to our landlady who met us at the apartment close to midnight.
