Just the right place to end the Homer 2024 adventure. Two nights in Menaggio on Lake Como.
Here's another favourite that's getting busier and busier each time we visit. It's still good to spend the evenings lazing at a cafe by the water though.
For dinner we found the more local Pizzeria Lugano, a few streets back; great food at good prices. We returned the next night too.
You don't need to stay at Grand Hotel Victoria; drinks on the terrace are wonderful.
We did take the ferry to Bellaggio in slightly rainy weather.These days you could skip this and just visit the less touristy towns, all accessible by ferry.
For example, we loved the cheap wine flights and chacuterie boards at Cantina Follie in Tremezzo.
On Thursday afternoon,we did need to spend a few hours packing up in Homer and preparing for the early start and the long journey back to Munich.
