Lima is South America's food capital. After being on a waiting list for ages, we got a last minute table at Central, voted No.1 in 2023 by "50 Best Restaurants in the World."
What an amazing culinary experience - 12 courses with wine pairing!
And we got to meet chef Virgilio Martinez!

So do you cancel your back up plan once you get a reservation at Central? Hell no,YOLO! Maido is 7th on the "World's 50 Best Restaurants" list! And it's walking distance from our hotel. Peruvian/ Japanese cuisine is called Nikkei and Peruvian born chef Mitsuharu Tsumura owns Maido.
Another great food and wine experience! So different from the night before but just as amazing!
