It's not far from Livingstone to Kasane. We crossed at the "new" Kazangula Bridge. Despite a wonderful new border facility things on the Bots side were uncharacteristically slow.
Wednesday
We checked into the campsite at Chobe Safari Lodge.
The best sites are 12 and 13, with river views. Happy campers around our fire for the evening.

Thursday
It was my idea to head for Chobe NP at 6am but in hindsight not a good one... so many game drive vehicles on the same route as us and to be honest many of them are not considerate of other drivers at all. After a few hours they had thinned out and we got "our Chobe" to ourselves for a bit.
It was so hot (38°c) at 2.30pm when we had to head out for our Boat Cruise. This time we had skipper Mooby and he went above and beyond to show us so many different birds. Most of the awesome bird photos are Stephen's.
Friday
Our later start, 8am was welcome by all of us.. are we getting old?.. and the game and birds were just as good. We had two wonderful sightings of Sable antelope and later we saw a very rare Roan antelope too.
Serondela picnic sight was so overrun with vervet monkeys we couldn't eat there. One cheeky bugger grabbed a plastic box of fuses out of the back of the car and took it up into the tree. We had to toss stones up until he dropped it.
By the time we were heading home outside temps were 38 °C. One of our team got their car stuck in the thick sand...air jack, sand ladders and the Landcruiser to the rescue..
A restful evening with dinner at the hotel; tomorrow we begin the three day journey back to South Africa.
