The "World's 50 Best Restaurants 2024" awards were announced on Wednesday. On Thursday, while in Barcelona, I read that the new number 1 is a Barcelona restaurant, DISFRUTAR. Of course, I checked out the website.. it's fully booked for the next 12 months... but I did see that the sister restaurant COMPARTIR is in Cadaques. Where we were headed. So I booked for Sunday evening.
Same chefs/owners but a different concept- as our waiter pointed out. And extremely reasonably priced...
What an awesome meal we had... wonderful,wonderful food...great wine, perfect service...
This is why I love travel so much...the serendipitous, the unexpected, the spontaneous...
