Sunset Limited
Monday May 1 to Tuesday May 2
Up too early and in an Uber to Union Station, New Orleans at 8am to take the Sunset Limited Amtrak train from New Orleans to Los Angeles. 46hrs. A least we have a "bedroom" with an en suite.
You take all your meals in the dining car. The food is surprisingly okay.
There is something appealing about train travel, like a road trip; you cover the distance.
It's relaxing and easy to while away the hours reading and writing. The beds are comfy.

1.Long Beach to see Julie.
Stephen and Vivienne drove up from San Diego for the night to say hello. Maria came down from LA.
A trip to the Getty Museum in LA.

2.Santa Clara to stay with Andrea and Stephan.

3. Capitola to stay with Larry and Jean.

4. Seacrest Hotel, Pismo Beach and wine tasting at a few local wineries.
