Back in SA we had friends to see and errands and admin to do.
We took Mom, Dad and Tracy down to Durban for 5 days to catch up with Mac and Liz, whom we hadn't seen since before lockdown.
One day we all drove down to Ellingham Estate near Park Rynie. This is the sugar estate where my grandpa worked and where my mom and uncle grew up.
We were even able to visit the house. For the first 12 years of my life this was my favourite,favourite place.
We went to Umzinto too and found the primary school my mom and uncle attended and the church where my folks got married.
What a trip down memory lane!
