PHUKET 2024 : WEEK 5. Monday 18 to Sunday 24 November

When you plan to take it really easy but still end up having a fun week..
Music at Hippie Road, Beach Pig, Chill Bar, Jack Rabbit Jims and Jina Cafe.
Braais at the Lewis's and the Crause's.
Luckily we have Sam who can drive us all over the island to see our favourite bands and friends.
We found a great new beach - Hideaway at Tri Trang and spent 2 great afternoons there.
We tried Chinese Mala Hot Pot at CQK for the first time.
And enjoyed our usual massages followed by coffee at Samero's.
Everyday Neil takes photos of the Food Cart outside Samero's. They are hardworking, dedicated to their customers and proud of their little business. Just one example of the millions of self employed people contributing to the economy in Thailand.
The soi (street) dogs in Patong are " looked after " by the locals. My favourite boy spends his days under Samero's awning or on the local guesthouse verandah. People buy him chicken skewers from the food cart. He's quite tubby. He doesn't like having his photo taken though.
We see our other favourite dog all over our neighbourhood..riding like the king but we have only been able to get a shot of him outside the fruit stall.
Neil found a new Kit Kat flavour- Pineapple Tart.. it's good!
More rugby in the Aussie Bar on Bangla that starts at 12.40am. A good win against Wales. Well done Bokke! This time Neil felt like a burger at 3am after the game. The smash burgers at Primeburger are really good. And you can get a delivery on the occasional night I persuade Neil to stay in to watch Netflix.

PHUKET 2024 : WEEK 4. Monday 11 to Sunday 17 November

And that's another fun week...
Sunsets...
 The Rocks.
Seasalt.
Patong Beach.
Carpe Diem.
Beach Pig.
Good food and good music at Naughty Nuris, Aja, Kaab Gluay, Lanna Beach Club, Beach Pig.
Moody's Birthday at We Cafe.
Pub quiz at O Hara's.
And twice a week on Bangla Rd is my limit!
We had to wait up until 12.40am - and got home way after 3am -  at the Aussie Bar to see the Springboks beat England! Great rugby at least but we slept till noon the next day.
And my blog is up to date.  First time in a long time. I've enjoyed having the time to catch it up this week. I've been doing it for over 16 years.Nothing is planned or curated.. It's just my life. Someone recently suggested glitzing it up and I've considered that but I've decided to keep it the same. I don't want to vlog or add music or change platforms. Sometimes I take snaps and sometimes I write a bit. It is what it is!
