SQ to JNB : FRIENDS!

May 2024 : Catching up with the fabulous peeps in our lives is a privilege and is becoming a main focus of our travelling life as the years unfold. Yes, we've been retired and full time travelling for 16 years now.. May 2024 is the start of year 17..that's a long time to be homeless... but we feel right at home when we are with friends and family wherever we might be!

ONE DAY IN PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA

Sunday 28 April

Sightseeing and wandering markets in such unbelievable heat.

We loved afternoon tea at The Elephant Bar, Raffles Royal Hotel.

We had to return to our hotel Tribe ( really cool; pun intended) in the late afternoon for respite from the heat.

We ended our evening pub crawl at Little Susie's for live music.

We have really enjoyed our tuk tuk rides around the city for a dollar a trip.

MEKONG CRUISE DAY 3 AND 4

Friday 26 April

100 million people live along the Mekong from Tibet, China,Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. It's a busy river.

In the morning we did a walking tour of a local village.

In the afternoon we did a rather hilarious rickshaw tour of Long Chau

It was so hot!!

Sunset drinks on the sky deck with lion and dragon dances as entertainment.

There's plenty of time inbetween activities to laze by the pool or nap in your air conditioned cabin. 

We don't like too many arranged activities and this balance had been ideal.

Saturday 27 April

Today the boat crossed the border into Cambodia. We had a lazy day on the boat watching river life pass by.
